H&M Aventura opened Friday. People lined up, on what seemed like everywhere through out the Mall to be part of the first to shop H&M’s latest collections. It was total madness. People were ready to shop! LOL!

Aventura Mall will home the new H&M. The store opens tomorrow, Friday, December 14, 2012 at noon. Here is what you really need to know:

GLOBAL FASHION RETAILER H&M CONTINUES MIAMI EXPANSION!
H&M, Hennes & Mauritz, the popular global retailer known for offering fashion-forward quality apparel at the best prices, is excited to announce its continued expansion in Florida by opening its second Miami location at Aventura Mall, the region’s finest upscale shopping center. Opening December 14th at noon, H&M at Aventura Mall will provide even more shoppers in the Miami metropolitan area access to the latest trends at the best prices.
“We see continued great potential in the South Florida retail landscape,” says Daniel Kulle, U.S. President for H&M. “After a successful opening of our flagship store on Lincoln Road in November, we are excited to offer another fantastic shopping location which will include our quality children’s collection, to both our Miami and international customers in time for the holidays.”
The H&M at Aventura Mall will offer collections for ladies, men, young ladies and young men, with separate “store within store” sections for accessories, lingerie and sports apparel. This location will also carry the Swedish retailer’s fantastic children’s collection, which features quality clothing for kids ages newborn to eight.
Allowing Miami area consumers to shop in style, H&M will offer the latest holiday trends such as textured sweaters, print dresses, and embellished jewelry for women; and coated jeans, knitted sweaters, and leather accessories for men. H&M is the largest user of organic cotton in the world, and H&M at Aventura Mall will offer the best of sustainable fashion with H&M’s Holiday 2012 collection.
Key holiday fashion items for women will include dresses from $24.95, blouses starting at $14.95, and trousers for $12.95. Men will be able to purchase shirts starting at $14.95, trousers from $19.95, and jackets for $34.95.
In celebration of opening day, H&M at Aventura Mall will offer the first 250 shoppers in line an H&M t-shirt and Access to Fashion Pass, valued from $10 to $300, in addition to other fantastic opening offers for the whole family!

H&M to Open New Location at Aventura Mall in Fall 2012

H&M’s new resort-wear collection is Hawaiian style inspired. Out of every sale 25% will be donated to sanitation wateraid programs to India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

H&M for Water includes items for the whole family: dresses, shirts, swimsuits, board shorts, and accessories—all made of sustainable materials such as organic cotton, Tencel, linen, and silk. The products feature floral- and palm-filled prints. The collection is available now at 200 stores world wide as well as online.

Finally, the much anticipated H&M Miami Beach opens its doors today Friday, June 1st at 11 am in the form of a pop up shop. With their new summer collection, this will be an event not to be missed. Can you imagine a $5 bikini that’s well constructed? If you can,H&M has it for you. Also, for me a summer collection of shorts, swim trunks and tank tops are available. Marybeth Schmitt of H&M described the store as summer, beach, vibrant, fun for everyone.

The official main store won’t be opened till Fall 2012 in the historic Lincoln Theater building in true H&M fashion. Stay tuned for exact dates. For now, hurry up and start shopping at H&M Miami Beach.

H&M Sustainable “Conscious” Collection Spring 2012

H&M has created an exclusive collection of red-carpet looks, all made from more sustainable materials such as organic cotton and hemp as well as recycled polyester. The collection showcases the diversity of what is now possible in greener fashion, with outfits in different styles reflecting the variety of today’s red carpet fashion. This collection will be available in limited numbers starting April 12th, 2012.

H&M Conscious offers sustainable spring style for everyone
These collections show how important sustainability is to H&M. In addition to the Exclusive Glamour Conscious collection, H&M Conscious collections also span other store concepts such as Divided, Women, Men and Kids. This is all part of Conscious, the ongoing initiative to increase the use of organic cotton and other more sustainable materials.

WOMEN

Women’s items include 100% organic cotton tunics, smock tops and sundresses in pastels and checks; 100% Tencel® tie waist khaki shorts; and a fitted tailored jacket made from recycled polyester. For Divided, the floral tops and printed T-shirts are made from 100% recycled polyester, while shorts are made from recycled cotton.

MEN

For men, this collection is all about a preppy spring wardrobe. This season includes crew-neck T-shirts in pale pink, gray, blue and white, a striped vest, and a pair of tailored shorts. For a dressier look, this collection includes shirts in checks, block color, and leaf prints, sharp pleated-front pants in sustainable cotton and polyester, and accessories such as belts, sunglasses and cotton espadrilles.

KIDS

Children have their own preppy pieces, such as striped T-shirts and khaki chinos, as well as summery pieces such as floral smocked dresses and print tops.
