kidrobot, one of my favorite places to visit invites us to celebrate a decade of art and toys with a Tristan Eaton 10 yr Anniversary ‘Bot Mini & “Mister Universe.” The commemoration will take place in all their stores including our Miami Location from 6-8 October 12th.
I cant even begin to tell you how dope this installation was. It’s one of those things you had to be there to really understand. Jeff Staple has been a pivotal part of our street culture. JS brings us season after season some of the must sought after goods on our culture so it was only fitting for him to curate what’s become “THE HOLLY GRAIL” of goods for lots of street culture enthusiast. By the way his booth was DOPE too!
Is that a bottle of Staple water Jeff’s holding in his hands?
Kidrobot pays homage to some of the urban city’s they call home with their new City “BOTS” collection featuring New York, London, Miami, San Francisco and Los Angeles toys. My two favorites are Miami of course and New York. Click HERE to see the other citys.
**Introducing the Kidrobot City ‘Bots Mini’s. Each 3-inch vinyl figure highlights the city where it is exclusively sold by showcasing the characteristics that the city and its citizens are famous for. Five Kidrobot retail stores have their own special ‘Bot: San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and London. On the scene June 21st, each figure retails for $11.95 (£9.60 UK).**
OMFG! Totem loves the modern world. With an over-inflated sense of awesomeness and a love for dicey online casino games and XXX reading material, this FatCap consumes technology like bandwidth grows on trees.
Ancient Totem, meet 21st Century sin.
The Totem FatCap by Kronk is 6-inches of vinyl symbolism, enshrining the evils of vanity, lust, and greed on the iconic FatCap platform. Here to serve as a symbolic reminder to avoid leading self-celebrating lives, this totem’s old natural tones have transformed into a new electric vinyl palette – purple, turquoise, orange and pink. Beginning May 10, only 900 of this misguided Totem FatCap are available for $75 at Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com, and select retailers worldwide.**
Ron English (featured) has recently revealed two projects he has been working on. The first is a blend of Barack Obama and The Incredible Hulk into one amazing sculpture although we aren’t sure what the message is. Maybe it has something to do with the upcoming elections… Not sure if this piece will be released to collectors any time soon, but the other little item he has completed is now for sale at NOWhere Limited for $60 and limited to 500. Fat Tony is a play on his satiric attacks against the cereal industry – this time he is targeting the mascot of Frosted Flakes. via AM
