RED BULL KING OF THE ROCK COMES TO MIAMI
One-on-One Basketball Tournament to Give Top Miami Player a Spot at the Finals on Alcatraz
The Miami qualifier for Red Bull King of the Rock, a one-on-one basketball tournament where the finals are held on the island of Alcatraz. In 2010, Red Bull King of the Rock went down in history as the first official sporting event ever to be held on Alcatraz and the first time basketball had been played on The Rock since the inmates left the island over 50 years ago. Now in its third year, the global one-on-one basketball tournament will return with the most competitive field to date. Bigger and better than ever, Red Bull King of the Rock has expanded to qualifiers in 27 countries, including 33 in the United States. From these qualifiers, 64 finalists will head to the island to put it all on the line in The Yard on Alcatraz on September 22.
There are only two options: win and continue on, or lose and go home. Games will last five minutes and be subject to regulation hoops rules and scoring (two and three pointers). Only the first 64 players to register will be accepted into the competition, so players should arrive early if they want to compete. The qualifier is open to amateur and pros alike, however players must be 16 years of age or older to participate. Participants under the age of 18 will need to have a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver at the qualifier.
Red Bull will be teaming up with Li-Ning, Skull Candy, 24 Hour Fitness and Dime Magazine for this historic event.
Rules: Sixty-four of Miami’s most talented one-on-one basketball players fighting tooth and nail to earn a “golden ticket” to compete in the Finals on Alcatraz. Only the top player from Miami will advance. For info on competing click HERE
Location: Jose Marti Park, 351 SW 4 Street, Miami, FL 33130
Saturday, July 21st
5:00 PM – Registration Opens
6:00 PM – Competition Begins
Ray Allen is a Miami HEAT so now we have the big 4. Can you believe he left about 6 Million dollars on the table to come here? Well, whoever thought waning isn’t everything is completely wrong… GO HEAT!
Oh by the way, thank you instagram for the images.
I’m a bit late on this one… Saturday June 16th celebrity personal trainer Jackie Warner hosted a pop up workout session in The Oasis at The Raleigh Hotel. This event was part of evian’s LIVE YOUNG, GET FIT Workout series, which consisted of a three city tour including Gilmore Lane at The Grove in LA, Beekman’s Beer Garden at Pier 17 in New York and lastly Miami Beach.
Evian aims to further enforce their message of “Live Young”, and that youth has nothing to do with age and everything to do with attitude.
The party didn’t stop after the parade. Here we have the 3 Kings Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and Lebron James enjoying the celebration on stage at the AA Arena.

Today the Miami HEAT got to finally celebrate with their fans. Downtown Miami closed streets and re-routed traffic for the much anticipated Miami HEAT parade! Fans came out from everywhere. The traffic was crazy; however, the love for the HEAT was in the air! Congratulations Miami HEAT!

Stephen A Smith has always stuck by Lebron James; however, Skip Bayless has been a prominent critic against Lebron. In this funny video by Dj Steve Porter Stephen has a few words for Skip.
In true Miami fashion, the MIAMI HEAT including Lebron James and Dwayne Wade partied at LIV Night Club inside the Fontainebleau Hotel after the much anticipated victory.
I don’t know if they were trying to say something but they spent $200,000 (not confirmed) which makes almost double of what the Mav’s spent last year when they won.
Last night LIV was featuring Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano but I’m sure they knew what was in-store if the HEAT won and they did. Dj IRIE, Miami HEAT’s official Dj took over and LMAFO who’s scheduled for tonight did their thang…
Here is a look at Nike’s first TV spot in commemoration of Lebron James first NBA Championship ring.
To honor one of LeBron’s finest career achievements, Nike launched a new campaign that celebrates the determination and perseverance needed to win a championship. The TV spot, which debuted immediately following Miami’s victory, acknowledges what LeBron has known his whole life – that destiny is earned, not given.
Since his rookie season in 2003, LeBron has been on an epic journey – a journey of expectation, success, challenge and ultimately victory. Nike’s spot chronicles those memorable career moments which have molded LeBron and fueled his motivation to succeed.
The story is told through a jeweler who begins working on a championship ring when LeBron is a young phenom, crafts it over the highs and lows of LeBron’s first eight years in the league, and then finishes it just in time to be delivered for the 3-time MVP’s first championship.
The spot launched globally after Miami’s closeout game and continues to run via digital and social media networks around the world.**

OKC fought all the way to the last second. Russell Westbrook actually helped the Miami HEAT on their win 100-96. Westbrook did his usual out of control shooting. Our big three also did their part but specially Dwayne Wade came back from the dead with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Thank you Wade. Bosh did his part also he scored 16 points and 15 rebounds. Shane Battier also helped with 5 3-pointers and ended with a total of 17 points. Yes, Lebron James gave another stellar performance with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Well done HEAT!
Let’s see how we do on game three. For now our mission was accomplished, to win one game in Oklahoma. GO HEAT!
If you have about $2500 per ticket for game 3 you can still find tickets HERE

The story it’s being written as we speak, Dwayne Wade is definitely not the same player he used to be. Lebron James is carrying the whole Miami Heat on his back. Ok, what can we do? Nothing. Do we have anyone in our bench better than him right now? No… As painful as it may be Wade might be done… We need Wade to show up and play, he hasn’t been producing enough…
Is he hurt? Well, that we will never know. Coach Spo is not the type to make excuses for his players… Is he done? That’s something I don’t know but one thought that keeps haunting me is the fact that we may have already seen his best days… I truly hope not…
Russell Westbrook keeps taking him to the hoop! We need someone to help Lebron consistently… At one point we thought that Miller would be of some kind of help but it hasn’t happened. Miller is playing hurt… It hurts me to see him on the floor… He looks in pain all the time…
What is the answer right now? I don’t know but I sure hope Dwayne Wade whom I really think is a great guy comes out ready to play or at least don’t shoot so many jumpers. Specially if he isn’t making them…
Tonight we need a win! LET’s GO HEAT! Game time at 9 PM on ABC check your local networks for exact channel.
