Last weekend bicyclists in many countries held traditional bike tours on the nude as a form of protest against the “JAMS” , advocating the use of “green” modes of transportation and calling for reduction of oil consumption. The protest took place in United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Netherlands and United States.
I wonder what would happen in Miami if a bunch of people were riding nude all over Brickell and Downtown calling it a “green” protest? That would show some serious commitment for a their cause… Would you do it?

I met Nigel Sylvester about a year a go while he was visiting some friends here in Miami. Nigel is mad cool and humble. You have to understand, to be a Street BMX rider sponsored by Nike 6.0 it’s kind of a big deal so Nigel keeps it moving nonstop. Word!
Out of all the different companies who have put together a fix gear bike this one is one of my favorites. Levis took their time. Three different companies worked together to bring this master piece to life: Unik Bikes- Belgium, Fixerati – Brussels and Brother Cycles -London. You can see Levis Denim details on the saddle and handle bars. Well done…Werd!
Red Bull’s “BARGESPIN” last stop in Miami took place on the Bay next to the American Air Lines Arena. The 1st Demo started at 6:pm. They were supposed to do another two but the arena didn’t approve of the event so it got shut down.
Finnegans played host for the 4th stop of the RED BULL “BARGESPIN”. The BMX Park-Barge has been floating down the Atlantic from FT. Lauderdale. Tomorrow it will be floating to Bayfront Park for the last stop of the tour. The team is scheduled to start riding at 5:PM so don’t miss it.
Anthony Napolitan and Daniel Dhers were amongst the talented riders on this tour.
Anthony Napolitan on the left Bio: Anthony’s story goes far beyond a single trick, but XG viewers know him for the double frontflip he landed in Big Air at XG ’09, a first for BMX. A dirt jumper by trade, Anthony holds a bronze in Dirt from XG ’06 as well as the overall Dew Tour Dirt title from ’06, and he is the reigning BMX Dirt World Champion. A master of frontflip and backflip variations, he says he’s been working on new quarterpipe moves for 2010 to try to add to his ’07 XG Big Air bronze. via ESPN Action Sports
Daniel Dhers on the left Bio:Venezuela’s Dhers delivered a dominating run from ’06 to ’08, collecting three consecutive Dew Tour Park titles and three X Games Park medals, including back-to-back gold in ’07 and ’08. He owns some of the hardest tricks in the game, and his heavy-repetition training regimen means he’s incredibly precise and consistent. Fierce competition from an ever-deepening pool of Park talent ended his reign in ’09, but a move to Greenville, North Carolina, for 2010 has Dhers fully motivated to reclaim his throne. via ESPN Action Sports.
Red Bull Barge Spin is a five-day journey on a floating BMX park with Red Bull’s incredible BMX riders. Starting in Fort Lauderdale on December 11, the barge will float down the Atlantic to Miami until December 15th.
