North America’s first and only touring electronic music festival experience, IDENTITY, announced that Eva Simons and The Eye will both be joining the festival this summer. They join an already stellar list of artists that includes Eric Prydz, Excision, Madeon, Wolfgang Gartner, Porter Robinson and more!
Dutch born Eva Simons is one of the hottest properties in contemporary dance music. She burst into the spotlight when her ‘Silly Boy’ track secured over 20,000,000 You Tube views, but it was her Billboard chart topping, platinum selling collaboration with Afrojack ‘Take Over Control’ that really turned people’s heads. Simons co-wrote the track, which became a world-wide smash, spending six weeks on top of the Billboard dance chart, and propelling her and Afrojack to the forefront of EDM stardom. Since then Simons hasn’t looked back collaborating with LMFAO and will.i.am, whom she worked with again on ‘This Is Love’, and releasing her Zedd produced ‘I Don’t Like You’ on Interscope earlier this year.
The Eye is one of EDMs most unique new performers, and a sight to behold on-stage. Hailing from Parts Unknown, no one really knows when or how the being simply known as Eye came to be or how he came to earth. All that is known about him is that he has a taste for pure energy and the only way he knows how to generate this energy is to reach the masses with his music and visuals.
IDENTITY will kick-off in the afternoon, running through into the night, and will be centered on each venue’s central amphitheater stage. A full list of cities and dates are listed below – tour stops include Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, San Francisco, San Diego, New Jersey, New York and more.
IDENTITY’s line-up features the most cutting-edge acts in EDM presenting them in some of America’s most storied venues, arenas that were long reserved for rock bands. IDENTITY welcomes back Rockstar Energy Drink as its festival stage sponsor, as well as returning sponsors Emazing Lights, Slurpee, Let’s Rage, Throwed and Unique Squared. IDENTITY will also again have exclusive playlists on Rdio to accompany the festival. New to the IDENTITY Festival this year are Miller Genuine Draft, TIGI Bedhead and LifeStyles Condoms.
